The AIG Life and Retirement Consumer Affairs Reporting Analyst is responsible for overseeing ongoing activities regarding maintaining and enhancing the complaint management system and reporting on customer grievances and related regulatory inquiries. This person will report to the AIG Life and Retirement Consumer Affairs Reporting Manager.
Performance Objectives:
Perform system administration on the AIG Life and Retirement Consumer Affairs system, enhance the system to meet industry best practices on usability and long term stability.
Develop monthly and quarterly reporting metrics on the AIG Life and Retirement Consumer Affairs Department.
Complete regulatory reports including:
Market Conduct Annual Statement complaint reporting
New York Annual Statement complaint reporting
Market Conduct Exam reporting
Support AIG Life and Retirement Consumer Affairs Analysts responsible for investigating and providing responses to customer grievances regarding AIG Life and Retirement insurance products and related regulatory inquiries.
Work with management to ensure all complaints and inquiries are properly logged, tracked, investigated and resolved in a timely fashion and in accordance with applicable legal requirements and Company policy.
Identify individual complaints and inquires that present potentially significant regulatory and compliance issues for escalation to senior management within compliance and individual business units prior to resolution.
Interact with state insurance regulators regarding customer complaint reporting metrics.
Analyze customer complaint data to identify significant trends, including emerging regulatory and compliance issues.
Continuously review existing processes and controls to identify potential enhancements.
Work with teams across AIG to develop standard methods for reporting and tracking complaints. The Ideal Candidate Should Have:
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the life insurance industry; Prior experience in compliance, operations, risk management, audit, or claims is strongly preferred.
The ideal person for this role should have prior managerial experience and significant knowledge and understanding of the life insurance industry. Candidates will also be expected to possess the following professional and personal attributes:
