Oversees the planning, design, reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.
Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, including company or government restrictions. Determines the feasibility of construction and equipment options and makes recommendations. Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings. Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction of facilities or acquisition of equipment and assists with the selection of contactors or suppliers. Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs. Inspects, or directs the inspection of, construction and equipment installation to ensure conformance to established drawings and specifications. Establishes construction schedules and monitors and reports on progress to the schedule.
Roll will include physical activity on the shop floor to include, but not limited to, standing, climbing ladders, and other duties as needed for the majority of the day.
Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Technical Field
Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience using Cad-Cam, AutoCad or similar graphics software as well as Excel, Powerpoint, Word and other Microsoft applications.
