Quality Manager
Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA), preferably in Engineering; or equivalent experience;
Associate Degree (AS), preferably in Engineering; AND 5-10 years job related experience (manufacturing setting required); OR 3 years Automotive Quality Engineering experience
Familiar with AIAG, ISO and/or TS16949
CQE (ASQ) desirable
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
Must possess demonstrated analytical capability; ability to work independently; excellent written and oral communication, proficient using MS Office products such as Word, Excel, etc.; ability to manage multiple tasks at once; must be willing and able to learn new skills and techniques.
Primary Roles & Responsibilities
Manage and lead the quality department.
Develop and mature systems to assure customer satisfaction, to minimize escaping defect, and to continually reduce internal defects.
Develop systems and staff to analyze customer & internal quality statics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Develop systems and staff to prepare timely response to customer concerns.
Ensure efficient and effective change point management
Develop and maintain systems to measure quality performance against established targets, goals and objectives.
Monitor performance according to agreed standards.
Effective communication strategy for the improvement and awareness of quality issues Company wide.
Advocate and champion for continuous improvement in both quality and productivity.
Plan and manage departmental activities in accordance with agreed budgets and timescales.
Report as necessary on changes in standards (internally and externally initiated) and on performance against standards.
Manage departmental performance against agreed targets and budgets, and within company policies and standards.
Primary customers advocate regarding quality, and be the primary IB-Tech advocate to the customer regarding quality issues.
Work with the Purchasing department to develop and mature the company's supply base including working directly with key suppliers
Lead/manage twenty one (21) associates.
Responsible for quality in a 3 shift operation.
Overtime may be required to fulfill job requirements
Travel/International travel may be necessary as needed.
