Seeking experienced Substation Technicians in Nashville, TN.

Our client's substation service division offers on-site inspection, testing, maintenance, oil processing, relocating and repair services for transformers and associated substation equipment. Their field service capabilities include all types of oil handling, servicing, reconditioning, maintenance, testing, rigging and heavy hauling.

Electrical tests include:
- Doble Power Factor on windings, bushings and arresters utilizing the M-4000 test set
- Hot Collar test of bushings with C1, C2 capacitance tap tests
- Megger of the Core Ground at 2.5 kV DC
- TTR utilizing a 3 phase TTR on all taps or designated tap
- Winding Insulation Resistance
- Winding Excitation up to 10 kV
- CT ratio, polarity and saturation
- Operational tests of all controls, pumps, fans and other ancillary devices
- Calibration of gauges
- SFRA (Sweep Frequency Response Analysis)
- Solid state & Electro-Mechanical Relays

Substation Technician
Qualifications:
Calibrations of power meters, and associated functional testing of protection logic diagrams
Component testing will include LV/MV/HV circuit breakers, power transformers, instrument transformers (CT & PT's), switchgear, disconnect Switches, and surge arrestors.
Experience with test equipment a plus, including; Power Factor, Ductor, Megger, CT ration & saturation, Hi-Pot, 3-phase relay test sets and software including, but not limited to, Doble 6150, Omicron, Manta, etc.
Power industry experience a plus
80% travel requirements

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
