Job Description
To provide technical and administrative assistance to the Director and Assistant Director of Engineering. Provides assistance in all operational aspect of the Engineering Department.
Responsibilities
Assist the Director of Engineering / Assistant Director of Engineering/ Engineering Manager in the full upkeep of the preventative maintenance, including the keeping of logs on work done, scheduling and the assignment of projects and other related tasks.
Assist the Director of Engineering and the Assistant Director of Engineering the procurement of supplies and the issuance of purchase orders.
Review work orders and assign work by priorities.
Maintain up-to-date inventories of heat, light & power and repair and maintenance supplies.
Respond to guest requests.
Work with the Engineering staff on a shift basis and coordinates their activities.
Assume the full responsibility for the Engineering Department in the absence of the Director of Engineering and Assistant Director of Engineering.
Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation.
Have a thorough understanding of Omni's job scenarios.
Must be familiar with Omni's Systems and Services procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum one year hotel engineering or other sufficient building maintenance leadership experience required. Hotel engineering leadership strongly preferred.
Previous experience with large commercial equipment (laundry and kitchen)
Experience with electrical, HVAC and working knowledge of powered and handheld tools and equipment
Candidate must have proven leadership skills and must be able to direct, develop and motivate staff.
Ability to teach employees importance of, and how to greet guests and courteously solve requests
Ensure that the inspection program is consistently maintained
Ensure all safety and security policies and procedures are followed
Stand or walk for extended periods of time or for an entire shift.
Required to perform inspections and repairs anywhere in or out of hotel property.
Frequent bending and/or kneeling required to inspect and repair equipment.
Must be able to handle frequent lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance.
100% of mobility required in all areas of hotel property and ground.
Must be able to climb a ladder, work in high places and confined areas.
Lift driving required electric saws, hand tools, drills, grinders.
Candidate must have excellent time management skills, the ability to work with both internal and external customers and a keen eye for detail
Must be computer oriented and able to meet deadlines and adhere to company policies
Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends and holiday

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
