QUALITY ASSURANCE ANALYST (TITLE 32)

As an Quality Assurance Analyst, GS-0501-11, you will provide administrative oversight of the Quality Assurance (QA) Program. Independently conduct various reviews to assess organizational performance. Focal point for fraud prevention. Review retrieval data provided by the local systems branch to screen for any unauthorized access level or dual access between the payable systems and the general accounting system. Based on general supervisory guidance, review and coordinate, with management and affected supervisors, new or modified applications affecting automated systems. Gather data, track discrepancies, prepare trend charts, and facilitate discussions with personnel at financial or QA meetings. Cross-feed various reports and bulletins, on a routine basis, through various electronic communications such as, emails and websites throughout the Wing financial management community. Facilitate monthly QA meetings and prepare minutes. Based on study results, determine need for refresher and supplementary training. Develop, schedule, and conduct training. Perform other duties as assigned. Military Grades:

Experience:
All series personnel's' performance levels are validated at the next higher level before being eligible for promotion consideration to the GS-0501 graded-position and must have a fundamental working experiences with validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade. Experience:
To qualify for hire consideration into one of the ANG GS-0501-11 positions located in the Wing Comptroller Finance Office, the ANG applicant must be eligible for entry into the position's financial management certification career program based on the position's GS-grade and/or the applicant's military rank before final approval and appointment is processed. An applicant must have at least 12 months of finance program experiences and competencies that provided knowledge of financial principles and procedures. An applicant must have an excellent under-standing of the basic principles and concepts of the Air National Guard financial business program requirements. An ANG applicant must have experiences and training that demonstrates the abilities to follow directions, to read, retain, and understand a variety of instructions, regulations, policies and procedures. For the ANG Quality Assurance Analyst, GS-0501-11 position, an ANG applicant must have a working knowledge on planning, coordinating, and performing comprehensive reviews, special studies and selective internal examinations of base level financial management programs. Skilled in performing administrative oversight of the Quality Assurance (QA) Program. Skilled in examining the effectiveness of procedures and determining if supervisors are recording quality data upon which accurate management conclusions and decisions are based. Skilled in researching, developing, modifying, and maintaining qualitative standards used to evaluate and monitor performance indicators. Competent in providing technical internal control advice on military pay, civilian pay, travel pay, disbursing and collection, accounting, vendor and contract pay, budget, and systems administration. As a condition of continued employment in the ANG GS-0501-11 positions and dependent on each position's certification level and contingent on the ANG technician's military rank, the ANG technician must complete the higher financial management certification within 24 months of appointment to the position.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
