Amazon is seeking a Cost Engineer, Data Management, for total cost estimating and planning, on a global scale, for complex and technically challenging Type I and Type II buildings including high-rise classification to customer fulfillment and logistics building designs.

The role will be based in Nashville, Tennessee and will include occasional domestic and international travel.
Responsibilities:
Create systems, tools, and templates for multiple types of estimates and project types including risk assessment Validate and normalize historical construction cost data for integration into internal costing databases Develop and maintain baseline project and construction cost estimates, budgets, and financial analysis for new and updated building concepts Provide detailed project quantity surveys using Onscreen Takeoff or similar tools, based on architectural and engineering drawings and technical specifications Support Design Program Managers (lead designers) to ensure a world class associate experience and operational efficiency of the building design Identify value engineering opportunities in the design including tracking and quantifying the savings Prepare and present total cost management performance metrics and discussions at various levels Manage third-party architects, engineers, and cost estimators as required Assist with the coordination of workshops that drive alignment on key issues, innovative design, and change management.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
