Senior Manager, Cost Engineering

Amazon is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to support the growing Cost Engineering team for Worldwide Operations Real Estate (WWRE).
This highly visible role will support strategy and execution of the Worldwide Operations Real Estate cost engineering operations on a global level providing total cost estimating and planning in support of customer fulfillment, logistics buildings, and multiple-use land development projects.
This role will support a team of cost engineers that work cross-functionally with a diverse group of stakeholders, to provide high fidelity concept building and site design cost estimates for a range of projects from tenant improvements to highly complex and technically challenging Type I and Type II buildings including high-rise classification.

The role will be based in Nashville, Tennessee and will include domestic and international travel up to 20%.
Responsibilities:
Influence senior leaders across multiple business and functional organizations.
Support large, complex initiatives, dealing with ambiguity and advocating on behalf of the customer.
Work with remote and cross-functional teams, including business leaders, design professionals, finance, and construction teams.
Support and develop a new team of cost management professionals to provide and maintain baseline project and construction cost estimates, budgets, and financial analysis for building design templates (prototype designs), design standards, and land development projects Support statistical, financial, strategic, and operational analysis and modeling involving large data sets to:
support and improve business operations; implement best practices; and conduct cost benefit analysis.
Drive development of systems, tools, and templates for multiple types of estimates and project types including risk assessment Drive value engineering opportunities in the design including tracking and quantifying the savings Prepare and present total cost management performance metrics and discussions at various levels Demonstrate performance that serves as a model of excellence establishing business requirements, design team collaboration, and stakeholder alignment Support workshops that drive alignment on key issues related to innovative design, change management, and cost management Sets an example by staying current with professional continuing education as well as design and construction practice, product, and material innovations.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
