Senior Technical Architect, Worldwide Real Estate Building Design
Amazon is seeking a Senior (Sr) Technical Architect to lead the program support team for customer fulfillment and logistics building programs.
The candidate will perform a full range of technical architect functions while leading internal, outsourced, and vendor design teams in an extremely fast paced environment that has a high degree of ambiguity.

World Wide Building Design (WWBD) supports most building design programs for Global Customer Fulfillment (GCF), Amazon Logistics (AMZL), Amazon Transportation Services (ATS), Global Specialty Fulfillment (GSF), and Air in North America (NA), Europe (EU), and Emerging Countries Customer Fulfillment (ECCF) including Latin America (LATAM), Asia Pacific (APAC), and Middle East & North Africa (MENA).
By the end of 2022, approximately 120 building types will be supported with design documents such as building design templates (used for build-to-suit), lite templates (reduced scope templates), design guidelines (design standards kit-of-parts for retrofits and/or building & site components), and design criteria (technical specifications).

Provide technical architectural design expertise, change management, sustainable building design standards, architectural design standards, technical specifications, and drawing standards Provide support to building design teams for detailing, systems, components, products, and materials Provide deep knowledge and experience to building design teams for complex and technically challenging Type I and Type II buildings including high-rise classification to customer fulfillment and logistics building designs Provide technical design and quality reviews at various milestones throughout the design process to ensure building designs are compliant with design standards Provide oversight of building design to ensure compliance with federal, state and municipal requirements and building codes Demonstrate performance that serves as a model of excellence establishing business requirements, design team collaboration, and stakeholder alignment Assist with driving a world class associate experience and operational efficiency are part of the building design Assist with leading the concept design for various customer fulfillment and/or logistics buildings Assist with the management of third-party architects, engineers and designers responsible for creating the building design templates (i.
e.
prototypes) for customer fulfillment and/or logistics buildings Assist with preparation and presentation of strategic design discussions at various levels Assist with the coordination of workshops that drive alignment on key issues, design practices, new building designs, and initiatives Sets an example by staying current with professional continuing education as well as product and material innovation.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
