The TV Jones Power Trons deliver the perfect balance of tonal color and transparency. The bridge position has nice bark and a very agreeable top end; sweet and rounded. The low midrange is thick and chunky but defined. The neck position is warm and woody, but with just enough midrange hollowed out to give a bit more spank than your traditional neck humbucker. And if you really want the spank, the middle position is the place to be. There's an extra shimmer to this position that totally thrives on a good clean amp. The guitar exhibits baritone-like qualities in the piano-styled attack and distinction between the strings. How Does It Play? The frets are PLEK'd to perfection, polished and dressed smoothly from every angle. The string action measures just 4/64" on the low E at the 12 th fret and even less on the high E, without buzz anywhere on the neck. The C profile is unabashedly familiar at first touch, leaning on the substantial side to really get your mojo working. While this guitar is nothing short of a looker, it is also a mean player.
